Sheeba Philip is a mission-driven leader who equips Founders, CEOs, and organizations that make the world a better place. She draws on her experience building purpose-driven brands at startup, mid-size, and Fortune 50 companies spanning multiple industries and sectors. She was the CEO of Akola, a social impact brand and retail startup that creates economic opportunity for marginalized women in Eastern Africa. Akola was named a top sustainable jewelry brand by Vogue in 2020. During her tenure as a senior marketing executive with Mondelēz International, she led the brand and operational strategy for the World’s #1 Cookie, OREO ($2 Billion), across 100 countries. As an executive member of the turnaround team for JCPenney, she built a new marketing platform to revitalize the $12 billion dollar, 100 yr old iconic brand. As head of marketing for International Justice Mission, she spearheaded the global brand and communication efforts for the largest anti-slavery organization in the world.
Sheeba now leads a strategic advisory practice for Founders and CEOs of impact-driven startups and non-profit organizations. She is a board member for Redeemer City to City, a global ministry founded by Tim Keller. She is also a board member for Lion’s Den DFW, an organization that mobilizes faith-driven entrepreneurs and investors. She is also an advisor for the Praxis Redemptive Venture Accelerator and mentor for female leaders and entrepreneurs. Sheeba was featured on InStyle Magazine’s 2021 list of “50 Women Making The World A Better Place”. She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
